Tygh Valley, 1890
Lula Mc'Crackin is a rich girl turned journalist who is just returning to Tygh Valley after earning a degree from Miskatonic University in Arkham, MA
This is a picture of me shooting a rifle. I was prettier then than I am now. Going off to school has made me a bit more homely. The old Man is my Great Grandfather who was the first of my family to arrive in the Tygh Valley. He was a trapper and unfortunately died poor, but not before having several sons, one of which, Joseph Mc’Crackin eventually took up his fathers trade and made the family rich. The picture of a house is one he built just before striking his fortune. The family now lives in a much larger house to suit their various needs, but Grandpa McCrackin’s house still stands on the land as a reminder of the start of his legacy. I often played in that house as a child with my best friend __, illigitimate child of the town preacher. We studied the occult and black magic trying to find a way to replace the eye that I lost in the same flood that took my older brothers life when the town damn burst. I have spent the last few years off on the east coast at Miskatonic University studying journalism and minoring in occult studies. I have returned home to try and get a job with the local paper.
